LETS CATCH UP!

Ok, so life has been CRAZY!!!! We moved, celebrated my 27th...yes 27th Birthday, had a great 3rd anniversary and blinked while Lucas grew up into a toddler! Lets start at the begining. We have moved to Draper Utah into a beautiful home. We are so lucky to know the Glassetts and feel beyond blessed to have the opportunity to rent their amazing and extremely large(3900 sq. ft) home. We finally have storage space and Lucas gets tired just running around the house. Before leaving Orem, we spent a day with our friend Crystal Odom at the park, where we took a little dip. Here is Lucas sitting in the fountain at Nelsons Grove.
I have taken a new job at a private school for children with learning
disabilities and dyslexia. I will be teaching students in 1-3 grade and I will be the head teacher/assistant principal. I am excited and nervous, but will keep you all posted on how it goes. Phil is working hard at CCC and is studying a ridiculous amount for the DAT. He wakes up at 5:30 every morning because of course, its the only time quiet in our house. He is also preparing to take classes this fall at BYU for his 2nd..... again yes 2nd major, this being in biology. Life is crazy, busy and so much fun.

WHAT AN ATHLETE!

We tried a gym class at The Little Gym here in Draper.

We were blown away by how much fun we ALL had.

Lucas did summersaults, straddle rolls, handstands,

headstands, bars and jumps. It occured to Phil and I just

how truly gifted and athletic Lucas really is, not to

mention fearless. His favorite thing all night was climbing

over all the mats and being able to jump off the highest

one all by himself, and without getting told to be careful

or to get down! We had so much fun and hope to do it again.

DRESS UP TIME

BYU fan... GO COUGARS!

A future Dr?

AWKWARD!!!!

Lucas is into dressing up from everything to shoes, coats, professional attire, my bra, etc. He is so much fun! You will notice he has no shame and is just enjoying dressing like his mama and dada. Oh how embarrassing. I cant wait to show these pictures to future girlfriends! His father is going to kill me for sharing these!

Hey pants dont go on your head! He will grow into it, no hurry though!
AND MY FAVORITE!!!!
Yes... those are my heels, puckered lips and a B of M.

VISITING NANA AND PAPA

Of course we took our annual trip to Michigan this summer. We had a packed vacation as we went camping at the sand dunes, had a bridal shower for my sister Lindsey and I attended my first bachlorrette party. All of it was so much fun. Lucas went tubing, swimming and fishing. Phil and I had 2 very overdue date nights when we went 4 wheeling in the dunes and minature golfing. We played games almost every night and loved staying in our cozy little cabin with the Dixon family. We feel so blessed to be able to go home every year and it is so much fun to see Lucas loving every moment with his nana, papa, aunts and uncles.

We are all getting so excited for the big wedding this December. Lindsey is going to be a beautiful bride and we cant wait for Eric to be an official memeber of the family. The ladies had a BLAST at both the shower and party. Lindsey is very lucky to have such amazing in-laws. We danced the night away and I felt so young again... until the next morning when Lucas woke me up so early to get ready for church. I quickly remembered my age and status as a mom. A position I wouldnt trade for anything in the world!

Here come the brides The Kellett women The future bride

THE START OF OUR SUMMER

The first weekend after school ended Phil had the lucky opportunity to attend a weekend workshop through UNLV's Dental program. Of course, Lucas and I joined him. Phil LOVED every moment of his time as a "dentist" and we pray even more now for the opportunity. He has such a love for dentistry and is learning quickly just how natural it comes to him! We spent our last day at the Mirage casino watching the Dolphin program and meeting all of the Lions and animals. These our pictures of our time there. Its funny, anytime we are around other animals, our family seems to totally fit in!

Mothers Day 2008

So there is no better way to start your morning off with a little bit of "business"! We are so excited that Lucas has a desire to go on the "big boy potty". This past week Lucas has been successful at doing all types of "business" on his new potty. He loves his morning routine and we love him for his enthusiastic efforts! (we just hope the desire continues) Lucas and daddy had a ball at the annual Mommy and Me Day at the Hoggle zoo! We saw lions and tigers and bears.... OH MY! We decided that although the monkeys at the zoo were adorable and contained to cages, we would still take our little monkey any day!

Free ice cream, friends, family and a day at the zoo! Could my life as a mom/wife, be any better?!? I wouldnt trade any day at the Oliveira Zoo for anything!

A DAY IN THE PARK

Reese and Lucas love going to the park together! We try to go as often as possible. We walk, we chalk, we fly kites, we blow bubbles, we go down slides and up stairs, we swing, we run and we go home and CRASH! (all of us, mom and dad included)

FUN FEEDING A TODDLER!

Lucas doesnt always like to cooperate while eating. This is after a rather messy dinner of spag. Oh the joys! Isnt he still so adorable!

Whats new?!?!

Ok, so anyone who knows us, knows that we are not technology savvy. We apologize that it has taken so long to get this going...FOR REAL! Be patient, we are learning. These ADORABLE pictures were taken by AMAZING aunt Suzy. She is an awesome photographer for anyone who might need one. He is wearing a 1st birthday gift from his MiMi and PaPa. We were so lucky to have Phils family and my parents, along with aunt Katy all visiting for the big Birthday party. It was so much fun for everyone, although I am having a hard time dealing with the fact that my "baby" is now a toddler. Oh, how time flies.

1st haircut

Along with a 1st Birthday comes a 1st haircut. We are so lucky that Phils dad is wonderful at cutting Lucas' hair. It wasnt that bad of an experience, however towards the end we were definitly ready for a break!
